Description

Delicious and festive 4th of July Cake Mix Cookies made with cake mix, white chocolate, holiday M&Ms, and sprinkles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of white cake mix (16.25 ounce box)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup melted unsalted butter
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips, divided
  • 1 cup holiday M&Ms, divided
  • ½ cup sprinkles, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, and melted butter with a fork.
  3. Stir ¾ cup of Holiday M&Ms, ⅓ cup white chocolate chips, and ¼ cup of sprinkles into the batter and mix well.
  4. Use a 2 tablespoon cookie scoop to create two cookie dough balls per cookie (about ¼ cup of cookie dough).
  5. Roll the cookie dough into a ball and then flatten to about ½ inch thick, arranging 5 cookies on each baking sheet for space.
  6. Optionally, refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes for easier rolling and less stickiness.
  7. Bake for 9-10 minutes or until the edges start to brown – do not over bake.
  8. Remove from the oven and top half of each cookie with white chocolate chips and M&Ms.
  9. Let cool for 10 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a cooling rack.
  10. Once cooled, melt the remaining white chocolate in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring in between.
  11. Dip the other half of the cookies in the melted white chocolate and garnish with sprinkles. Let cool completely.
  12. If any white chocolate remains, drizzle over the top of the white chocolate half and top with extra sprinkles (optional).
