- 2 oz apple cider (unfiltered preferred)
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- ½ oz Cointreau or triple sec
- ¼ oz maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
- Ice cubes
- 1 tablespoon sugar (for rimming)
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (for rimming)
- Lime wedge (for rimming the glass)
- Optional Garnish: Apple slice, Cinnamon stick
Instructions
- Prepare the Glass: Mix the sugar and cinnamon on a small plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a cocktail glass, then dip the rim in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.
- Mix the Margarita: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine tequila, apple cider, lime juice, Cointreau, and maple syrup (if using). Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
- Serve: Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
