Description

A delightful cocktail combining the flavors of apple cider and tequila, perfect for the fall season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz tequila (blanco or reposado)
  • 2 oz apple cider (unfiltered preferred)
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz Cointreau or triple sec
  • ¼ oz maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (for rimming)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (for rimming)
  • Lime wedge (for rimming the glass)
  • Optional Garnish: Apple slice, Cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass: Mix the sugar and cinnamon on a small plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a cocktail glass, then dip the rim in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.
  2. Mix the Margarita: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine tequila, apple cider, lime juice, Cointreau, and maple syrup (if using). Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  3. Serve: Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
  4. Garnish: Add an apple slice or cinnamon stick for a festive touch. Serve immediately and enjoy the flavors of fall!

Notes

  • For a less sweet drink, omit the maple syrup.
  • Use fresh-pressed apple cider for the best flavor.
  • Adjust the proportions to suit your taste preferences.
