  • Olive oil or cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Pit the dates if they are not already pitted.
  2. Let the goat cheese sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to soften.
  3. Fill each pitted date with a small spoonful of softened goat cheese.
  4. Season the filling with freshly ground black pepper and optional red pepper flakes if desired.
  5. Wrap each stuffed date with a half slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
  6. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle thyme leaves for garnish if using.
