Ingredients
Scale
- 8 mini croissants
- 4 slices smoked cheddar cheese (or regular cheddar), halved
- 3/4 pound deli-cut ham
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 large egg white
- Poppy seeds, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Carefully slice each croissant in half horizontally.
- On the bottom half of each croissant, place a half slice of cheddar cheese, followed by a slice of ham, and then another half slice of cheese.
- Place the top half of the croissant over the fillings to form a sandwich and gently press down.
- Place the assembled croissant sandwiches in a lightly greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Brush the tops with the egg wash and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Notes
- Use fresh croissants from a local bakery for the best flavor.
- Feel free to customize with different cheeses or add spices to the mustard spread.
- Let the croissants cool for a few minutes before serving.
