Description

Balsamic Glazed Asparagus is a deliciously simple dish that features tender roasted asparagus drizzled with a sweet and tangy balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Fresh asparagus
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the ends of the asparagus and place them on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar, honey or maple syrup, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Spread the seasoned asparagus in a single layer on the baking sheet and roast for 12-15 minutes until tender and slightly crispy.
  5. Remove the asparagus from the oven and drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top. Toss to coat well.
  6. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness of the glaze by adding more honey or maple syrup if desired.
  • For a vegan option, use maple syrup instead of honey.
