Description

Delicious beef nachos topped with seasoned ground beef, cheese, and fresh toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 jalapeño, sliced
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and water, mixing well. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). On a large baking sheet, spread out the tortilla chips in an even layer.
  5. Top the chips with the seasoned beef mixture, black beans, and shredded cheddar cheese. Add sliced jalapeños on top for an extra kick.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and top with diced tomatoes, sour cream, and fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize toppings based on your preference.
  • For a spicier version, add more jalapeños or use pepper jack cheese.
  • Can be served as an appetizer or a main dish.
