Description
Delicious truffles made with white chocolate and a hint of Blue Curacao, perfect for festive celebrations.
Ingredients
- White Chocolate Chips: 2 cups
- Heavy Cream: 2 tablespoons
- Blue Curacao: 2 tablespoons
- Sanding Sugar: 1/2 cup
Instructions
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 2 cups of white chocolate chips with 2 tablespoons of heavy cream. Heat the mixture in the microwave at 30-second intervals on medium power, stirring after each interval, until smooth and creamy.
- Once the chocolate mixture is smooth, stir in 2 tablespoons of blue curacao until fully incorporated.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for about 2 hours to firm up the mixture for rolling.
- After chilling, line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour 1/2 cup of sanding sugar into a shallow bowl.
- Scoop out heaping teaspoons of the chilled mixture, roll into balls, and coat each one in the sanding sugar.
- Place the sugar-coated truffles on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 1 hour to allow them to set.
- Keep the Blue Christmas Truffles in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
Notes
- For a more intense blue color, add a few drops of blue food coloring to the mixture.
- These truffles can be made a day in advance.
- Adjust the amount of sanding sugar to your preference for sweetness and texture.
