Ingredients

- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- Blue food coloring, as needed
- 1/4 cup maraschino cherries, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar until dissolved.
- Stir in the vanilla and almond extracts to distribute the flavors.
- Add blue food coloring gradually until the desired color is achieved.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions for 20-25 minutes.
- If using, fold in maraschino cherries gently.
- Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and place plastic wrap on the surface before sealing.
- Freeze for at least 4 hours until firm, then scoop and serve.

- For extra creaminess, substitute part of the whole milk with half-and-half.
