Ingredients

  • 10 to 12 jalapeños, halved lengthwise and seeded
  • 6 to 8 ounces brie cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 1/3 cup blueberry preserves or fresh blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Fresh thyme or parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove seeds, leaving a few seeds for extra heat if desired.
  3. Arrange jalapeño halves cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet and place a cube of brie in each cavity.
  4. Spoon a small amount of blueberry preserves or a few fresh blueberries over each brie-filled jalapeño.
  5. Drizzle lightly with honey. Sprinkle with chopped nuts, lemon zest, and a pinch of sea salt if desired.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the jalapeños are slightly softened and the brie is melted.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh thyme or parsley if desired and serve warm.
