Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 tsp lemon zest (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth to make the cheesecake filling.
  3. Scoop out 2-tablespoon-sized portions of cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet and create a small well in the center of each dough ball.
  4. Fill the wells with cheesecake filling and swirl in the blueberry mixture.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are set and centers are slightly soft.

Notes

  • Use fresh blueberries for the best flavor, but frozen can work if thawed and drained.
  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes if cookies spread too much while baking.
