Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
- 1 tsp lemon zest (optional)
Instructions
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth to make the cheesecake filling.
- Scoop out 2-tablespoon-sized portions of cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet and create a small well in the center of each dough ball.
- Fill the wells with cheesecake filling and swirl in the blueberry mixture.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are set and centers are slightly soft.
Notes
- Use fresh blueberries for the best flavor, but frozen can work if thawed and drained.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes if cookies spread too much while baking.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
