Description
Cajun Firecrackers Shrimp Deviled Eggs are a spicy twist on traditional deviled eggs, featuring crispy shrimp and a zesty filling.

- 12 whole hard-boiled eggs, peeled and wiped clean
- 24 shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails removed (21–30 ct per lb)
- 2 eggs, whisked until smooth for dredging shrimp
- 1/2 bag Fish Fry breading mixture
- Paprika for sprinkling
- Yolk Filling
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1.5 tablespoons sweet relish
- 2–3 teaspoons buffalo sauce or hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 heaping tablespoon chives, diced, plus extra for garnish
- Firecracker Sauce
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup buffalo sauce or Sriracha (start with less and adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- Shrimp Seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (salt-free)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Slice hard-boiled eggs in half, separating yolks from whites. Place yolks in a medium-sized bowl and refrigerate whites until assembly.
- Mash yolks with all filling ingredients until smooth. Refrigerate for at least two hours.
- Transfer yolk filling into a piping bag or zip-top bag. Pipe filling into egg whites. Sprinkle with paprika and refrigerate until serving.
- Heat oil in a heavy skillet to 350°F. Season shrimp, dip into egg wash, and coat with fish fry breading.
- Fry shrimp in hot oil for about 2 minutes per side until cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
- Whisk mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and hot sauce in a bowl. Taste and adjust seasoning.
- Toss fried shrimp in firecracker sauce until evenly coated.
- Place one piece of warm fried shrimp on each filled egg. Sprinkle with chives and serve immediately.
Notes
- Make sure to keep the egg whites refrigerated until you are ready to fill them.
- Adjust the amount of hot sauce according to your spice preference.
- For extra flavor, you may also serve with additional buffalo sauce on the side.
