Description

A delicious take on grilled cheese with a flavorful Cajun twist featuring shrimp and pepper jack cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices Texas toast
  • 7 ounces cooked shrimp, Cajun-seasoned
  • 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Sauté Cajun-seasoned shrimp in a skillet over medium heat until warmed through.
  2. Place Texas toast slices on a work surface. Distribute shrimp evenly over two slices and top with shredded pepper jack cheese and chopped green onions.
  3. Spread butter on the outer sides of each sandwich. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and grill sandwiches until the bread is golden brown and cheese has melted, about 3–4 minutes per side.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning based on your spice preference.
  • For a creamier texture, add a slice of cream cheese to the filling.
