Description

Cheddar Bay Hamburger Casserole is a hearty and delicious dish that combines the flavors of ground beef, creamy mushroom soup, and cheesy biscuits.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • ½ yellow onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 cans (10.5 ounces each) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • Cheddar Bay Garlic Herb Blend

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix, water, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well blended and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and diced onions until the beef is browned and no pink remains. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well and smooth the top of the meat mixture.
  4. Scoop the biscuit mixture on top of the meat mixture, creating 5-6 biscuits evenly spaced.
  5. Bake the casserole at 425°F (220°C) for 20-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are fully cooked and golden brown.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and Cheddar Bay Garlic Herb Blend. Brush the mixture over the cooked biscuits. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Ensure the ground beef is drained well to avoid excess grease in the casserole.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for additional flavor.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
