Description

Cheesy Ground Beef Rice Casserole is a must-try dish that combines savory ground beef, creamy mushroom soup, and delicious cheddar cheese, all baked to perfection with rice.


Ingredients

  • 680 grams ground beef
  • 400 grams cooked white rice
  • 305 grams condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 120 millilitres whole milk
  • 150 grams shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 5 millilitres Worcestershire sauce
  • 1.25 millilitres garlic powder
  • 1.25 millilitres onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until fully browned and no longer pink.
  3. Drain excess fat from the cooked beef.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine browned beef, cooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, milk, 100 grams cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into a 23 x 33 centimetre baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining 50 grams cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the casserole is hot and bubbling.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
