Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Filling:
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp softened butter

Instructions

  1. Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. Combine flour, cocoa powder, and cinnamon. Gradually add yeast mixture and melted butter to form a dough.
  3. Knead the dough for 5–7 minutes, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough, spread softened butter, and sprinkle the filling mixture evenly.
  5. Roll the dough tightly, slice into 12 rolls, and arrange in a greased pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes. Cool slightly before glazing.

  • Ensure the milk is warm but not hot to avoid killing the yeast.
