Description

A festive and delicious twist on traditional cheesecake, these Christmas Cheesecake Tacos feature creamy cheesecake filling encased in crispy, chocolate-coated taco shells, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 Large flour tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 13 ounces white chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup Christmas sprinkles
  • 2 tablespoons crushed candy canes
  • 12 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F (176 C). Turn the muffin tin upside down and set aside.
  2. Cut the tortillas with a 4-inch cookie cutter, getting about 3 circles per tortilla.
  3. Coat the cut circles with melted butter and arrange them in the prepared tin to form shells.
  4. Bake for 5-6 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned, being careful not to overbake.
  5. Once baked, take them out of the oven and leave them in the muffin tin to cool.
  6. Mix graham cracker crumbs, Christmas sprinkles, and crushed candy canes in a shallow bowl and set aside.
  7. Melt white chocolate using a double boiler or microwave, stirring constantly until smooth.
  8. Brush the cooled taco shells with melted white chocolate, then coat them in the graham cracker mixture.
  9. Place the coated shells on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate until the chocolate solidifies.
  10. For the cheesecake filling, mix softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  11. Beat in heavy whipping cream on low, then high speed until thickened.
  12. Transfer the filling to a piping bag, pipe into shells, and garnish with Christmas sprinkles, crushed candy canes, and M&M’s.

Notes

  • Ensure not to overbake the taco shells to maintain their crispiness.
  • White chocolate can burn easily, so microwave in short intervals if using that method.
  • Allow the taco shells to cool completely before brushing with white chocolate.
