Description
Deliciously crunchy cinnamon crisps made from flour tortillas, perfect for Christmas Eve celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 large flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Pinch of ground nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg until evenly blended.
- Brush both sides of each tortilla with the melted butter. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over both sides until well coated.
- Slice tortillas into triangles, strips, or desired festive shapes. Arrange pieces in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring no overlap.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp. Rotate the pan halfway through baking for even color.
- Remove crisps from oven and allow to cool completely on a wire rack to ensure maximum crispiness.
Notes
- For an extra touch, add a dusting of powdered sugar after baking.
- These crisps can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
