Description

Deliciously crunchy cinnamon crisps made from flour tortillas, perfect for Christmas Eve celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of ground nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg until evenly blended.
  3. Brush both sides of each tortilla with the melted butter. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over both sides until well coated.
  4. Slice tortillas into triangles, strips, or desired festive shapes. Arrange pieces in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring no overlap.
  5. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp. Rotate the pan halfway through baking for even color.
  6. Remove crisps from oven and allow to cool completely on a wire rack to ensure maximum crispiness.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, add a dusting of powdered sugar after baking.
  • These crisps can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
