Description

Church Lady Butter Toffee Pretzels are a sweet and salty snack that combines the crunchiness of pretzels with a rich, buttery toffee coating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 ounces mini pretzel twists
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, sliced into pats
  • 5 tablespoons light corn syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread the mini pretzel twists evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the light brown sugar, salted butter, and light corn syrup. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a boil.
  4. Allow the mixture to boil for 3–4 minutes without stirring, then immediately pour it evenly over the pretzels on the baking sheet.
  5. Using a spatula, gently toss the pretzels to coat them thoroughly with the toffee mixture.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10–15 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even coating and toffee coverage.
  7. Remove from oven and let the pretzels cool completely on the baking sheet; the toffee will harden as it cools.
  8. Once cooled and hardened, break apart any clusters and serve or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Ensure to stir the toffee mixture continuously until it boils to prevent burning.
  • For a twist, you can sprinkle chocolate chips or nuts on top before the toffee hardens.
  • Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
