Description

A delightful Cookies and Cream Oreo Cake that combines the rich flavors of vanilla and Oreo, perfect for celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box vanilla cake mix (or homemade vanilla cake batter)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed Oreo cookies
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips (optional, for drizzle)
  • Whole Oreo cookies (for decoration)
  • Extra crushed Oreos (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the vanilla cake mix, sour cream, eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and milk. Mix until smooth and fully combined.
  3. Gently fold in the crushed Oreos and granulated sugar.
  4. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. In a large bowl, beat the heavy cream and softened cream cheese together until smooth and fluffy.
  8. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then beat until stiff peaks form.
  9. Fold in the crushed Oreos. If the frosting is too thick, add a small amount of cream to adjust the consistency.
  10. Place one cake layer on a serving platter. Spread a generous amount of Oreo frosting over the top.
  11. Add the second cake layer and frost the top and sides with the remaining frosting. Smooth with a spatula.
  12. Optionally, drizzle melted white chocolate chips over the top for added flavor and decoration.
  13. Garnish with whole Oreo cookies on top and a sprinkle of crushed Oreos around the edges.
  14. Slice, serve, and enjoy the delicious cookies and cream flavor in every bite.

Notes

  • Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for best results.
