- 6 cups vanilla ice cream (1.5 quart container)
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 3/4 tsp pure mint extract (you want mint – not peppermint)
- 1/8 tsp green food coloring (approximately 10–15 drops of liquid food coloring)
- whipped cream – for serving
- green sanding or sparkling sugar – for serving
- maraschino cherries – for serving
Instructions
- Add ice cream, milk, mint extract and food coloring to a large blender. (You may need to do this in batches unless you have a large and powerful blender.)
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour into serving glasses.
- Top with whipped cream, green sugar, and a cherry if desired.
Notes
- Use high-quality vanilla ice cream for the best flavor.
- Adjust the amount of mint extract to suit your taste.
- Feel free to add more or less food coloring depending on your preference for color intensity.
