- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp cotton candy flavoring
- Optional: food coloring and sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set this dry mixture aside.
- In another bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy—about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the egg and cotton candy flavoring to the butter mixture. Optionally, add a few drops of food coloring.
- If using sprinkles, fold them in gently.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
- Cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
