Crispy Fried Goat Cheese Rolls with Hot Chili Honey are a delightful appetizer that combines creamy goat cheese, fresh herbs, and a sweet and spicy chili honey glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy goat cheese
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 8 small phyllo sheets or spring roll wrappers
  • Olive oil or melted butter for brushing
  • Water or egg wash to seal
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • ½ tsp sesame seeds
  • Pinch of salt
  • Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish
  • Pomegranate seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix goat cheese, lemon zest, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  2. Lay out a wrapper and brush lightly with oil.
  3. Add 1 tbsp of filling at one end, fold in the sides, and roll up tightly. Seal with water.
  4. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and fry rolls in batches until golden and crisp (2–3 minutes each side).
  6. Drain on paper towels.
  7. In a saucepan, warm honey with chili flakes, sesame, and a pinch of salt for 1–2 minutes.
  8. Drizzle hot chili honey over warm rolls.
  9. Garnish with herbs and pomegranate seeds.
  10. Serve immediately while crisp and melty!
