Instructions
- Inspect the dandelion leaves for any debris and rinse them well under cool water.
- If using dandelion roots, wash and chop them into small pieces.
- In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the fresh dandelion leaves and dried roots to the boiling water.
- Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, until the water takes on a rich, golden hue.
- Strain the tea into a cup, discarding leaves and roots.
- Sweeten with honey or another preferred sweetener, adjusting to taste.
- Garnish with a slice of lemon for a refreshing twist.
