- 1/3 cup strawberry jam
- 2 ounces cream cheese
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup hot milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Using a blender, pulverize freeze-dried strawberries into a fine powder.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla extract together until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, then gradually incorporate flour, baking soda, a part of the strawberry powder, and salt. Lastly, mix in the strawberry jam.
- Roll the dough into balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 8 minutes. Lightly tap the baking sheet to flatten the cookies, then bake for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, hot milk, vanilla extract, and the remaining strawberry powder. Adjust consistency with additional milk if needed.
- Dip cooled cookies into prepared icing or drizzle icing over the tops.
