  • 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) instant yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • ½ cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and instant yeast. Add warm water and olive oil, then mix until a dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Make the filling: In a separate bowl, mix shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning until well combined.
  3. Divide and roll: Divide the dough into four equal portions. Roll each portion into a circle about 6 inches in diameter.
  4. Fill the calzones: Place a spoonful of the chicken Alfredo mixture on one half of each dough circle, leaving a small border around the edge.
  5. Seal the edges: Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges tightly.
  6. Egg wash & topping: Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
  7. Air fry: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F. Lightly grease the air fryer basket and place the calzones inside, ensuring they do not touch.
  8. Cook until golden: Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Serve & enjoy: Let the calzones cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with extra Alfredo sauce for dipping!
