Description

A simple and delicious recipe for pecan pie bars that are easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (for filling)
  • 2 cups pecan halves or chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter, flour, granulated sugar, and salt until crumbly.
  3. Press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom of the pan.
  4. Bake the crust until lightly golden.
  5. In another bowl, whisk eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, vanilla, and the 2 tbsp melted butter until smooth.
  6. Stir in the pecans until fully coated.
  7. Pour the pecan filling over the warm crust and spread gently.
  8. Return to the oven and bake until set and golden.
  9. Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing into squares. Enjoy the gooey crunch!
