Ingredients
Scale
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt, as needed
- ½ yellow onion, finely chopped
- 10.5-ounce can cheddar cheese soup
- 28-ounce bag frozen shoestring fries
- 2 pounds of ground beef
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 10.5-ounce can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Pepper, as needed
- 1 teaspoon pickle brine
- ½ teaspoon dried onion pieces
- Black pepper, to taste
- ¼ cup ketchup
- ½ cup mayo
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
Instructions
- Warm up your air fryer and cook the fries following the directions on the bag.
- Set your oven to 350°F and let it preheat.
- Place a big skillet on medium-high heat. Cook the ground beef with the chopped onion until brown without any pink. Toss in the minced garlic and cook for a quick 30 seconds. Sprinkle in onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Remove extra grease.
- Stir both soups—cheddar cheese and cream of mushroom—into the beef mixture until smooth and blended.
- Scoop the beef mixture into a baking dish (7×11). Spread the fries evenly on top and finish with cheese sprinkled all over.
- Cook in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes, or just until the cheese looks melted.
- Mix mayo, ketchup, mustard, pickle brine, dried onion, and black pepper in a small bowl until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the burger sauce over the casserole before digging in. Enjoy your meal!
Notes
- Customize the seasoning according to your taste.
- For a spicier version, add jalapeños to the beef mixture.
- Feel free to use fresh fries instead of frozen for a homemade touch.
