Create your own glowing thundercloud jar for a mesmerizing light show!
Ingredients
- Clear glass jar with lid
- Shaving cream (foam type)
- Warm water (fill jar 2/3 full)
- Glow-in-the-dark paint or tonic water (for UV glow)
- Neon food coloring (blues, purples, grays for storm effect)
- Pipette, dropper, or spoon
- UV blacklight (for glowing effect)
Instructions
- Fill the Jar – Pour warm water into the jar until it’s about 2/3 full.
- Add the Cloud – Spray a thick layer of shaving cream on top of the water to form your “thundercloud.”
- Mix the Glow Rain – In a separate cup, mix glow-in-the-dark paint or tonic water with neon food coloring to create glowing storm colors.
- Make It Storm – Use a pipette or spoon to drop the glowing colored water onto the shaving cream cloud. The colors will drip through like lightning-charged rain.
- Lights Out! – Turn off the lights and shine a UV blacklight to watch the glowing “rain” streak through your thundercloud.
