Description

A quick and delicious recipe for cooking ground turkey with simple seasonings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add one tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet and allow it to warm for about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Once the oil is hot, add the pound of ground turkey to the skillet.
  4. Break the ground turkey apart using a spatula or wooden spoon, spreading it evenly across the skillet.
  5. Let the turkey cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure it cooks evenly on all sides.
  6. As the turkey cooks, it will start to turn from pink to brown.
  7. Once the turkey is mostly browned, sprinkle one teaspoon of garlic powder over the meat.
  8. Add one teaspoon of onion powder to the turkey.
  9. Season the turkey with half a teaspoon of salt.
  10. Sprinkle half a teaspoon of black pepper over the turkey as well.
  11. Stir the mixture thoroughly, ensuring the seasonings are evenly distributed.
  12. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes, letting the flavors blend and the turkey finish cooking.
  13. Check the turkey for doneness by ensuring it is no longer pink inside.
  14. Once fully cooked, remove the skillet from the heat.
  15. Serve the ground turkey as desired, either as a main dish or as part of another recipe.
