Description

First off, thank you for being here. Whether you’re new to homemade crafts or a seasoned DIY enthusiast, I’m genuinely grateful you’re stopping by. I know your time is precious—and that’s why I’m so excited to share this one with you. This simple project brings such a lovely dose of joy into everyday spaces. It’s eco-friendly, easy to make, and beautiful enough to gift!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water (½ cup cold, ½ cup hot)

  • 1 packet (0.25 oz) unflavored gelatin

  • 1 tablespoon salt (this helps preserve and prevents mold!)

  • 2030 drops essential oil (your choice of lavender, eucalyptus, lemon, peppermint, etc.)

  • Food coloring (optional, for visual appeal)

  • Small glass jars or any decorative containers

  • Optional: Dried flowers, herbs, glitter, or beads for decoration

Instructions

Step 1: Bloom the Gelatin

Sprinkle the gelatin over ½ cup of cold water in a bowl. Let it sit 5–10 minutes until it “blooms”—this is when it absorbs the liquid and becomes jelly-like.

Step 2: Heat the Water

While the gelatin is blooming, heat the remaining ½ cup of water until it’s steaming but not boiling.

Step 3: Dissolve the Gelatin

Pour the hot water over the bloomed gelatin and stir until completely dissolved.

Step 4: Add Salt & Essential Oils

Stir in the salt and your essential oil drops. This is where your scent comes to life—feel free to mix and match!

Step 5: Add Color & Decor (Optional)

If desired, add food coloring and sprinkle in dried herbs, flowers, or glitter for that extra flair.

Step 6: Pour Into Jars

Carefully pour the mixture into your chosen containers. Let them cool and solidify completely (usually takes a few hours at room temp).

Step 7: Enjoy!

Place your jars wherever you want a burst of freshness—bedroom, bathroom, office, even your car (in a cup holder!).
