Description
First off, thank you for being here. Whether you’re new to homemade crafts or a seasoned DIY enthusiast, I’m genuinely grateful you’re stopping by. I know your time is precious—and that’s why I’m so excited to share this one with you. This simple project brings such a lovely dose of joy into everyday spaces. It’s eco-friendly, easy to make, and beautiful enough to gift!
Ingredients
-
1 cup water (½ cup cold, ½ cup hot)
-
1 packet (0.25 oz) unflavored gelatin
-
1 tablespoon salt (this helps preserve and prevents mold!)
-
20–30 drops essential oil (your choice of lavender, eucalyptus, lemon, peppermint, etc.)
-
Food coloring (optional, for visual appeal)
-
Small glass jars or any decorative containers
-
Optional: Dried flowers, herbs, glitter, or beads for decoration
Instructions
Sprinkle the gelatin over ½ cup of cold water in a bowl. Let it sit 5–10 minutes until it “blooms”—this is when it absorbs the liquid and becomes jelly-like.
While the gelatin is blooming, heat the remaining ½ cup of water until it’s steaming but not boiling.
Pour the hot water over the bloomed gelatin and stir until completely dissolved.
Stir in the salt and your essential oil drops. This is where your scent comes to life—feel free to mix and match!
If desired, add food coloring and sprinkle in dried herbs, flowers, or glitter for that extra flair.
Carefully pour the mixture into your chosen containers. Let them cool and solidify completely (usually takes a few hours at room temp).
Place your jars wherever you want a burst of freshness—bedroom, bathroom, office, even your car (in a cup holder!).
