Description

A delicious dish featuring honey garlic salmon and shrimp served with flavorful garlic butter rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets
  • ½ lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup jasmine rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for the rice)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (for the rice)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper (for the rice)
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Marinate the salmon and shrimp for at least 15 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant. Stir in jasmine rice and cook for another minute.
  3. Pour in chicken broth, season with salt and pepper, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet, add salmon fillets skin-side down, and cook for 4-5 minutes. Flip and cook for another 3 minutes, adding half of the reserved marinade.
  5. Remove salmon and in the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter, add shrimp, and cook for 2 minutes on each side. Pour remaining marinade over shrimp and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  6. Serve garlic butter rice on plates, top with salmon and shrimp, drizzle with sauce, and garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
  • Ensure shrimp are cooked until pink and opaque.
  • Garnish with additional parsley for a fresh touch.
