A delicious dish featuring honey garlic salmon and shrimp served with flavorful garlic butter rice.

- 2 salmon fillets
- ½ lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter (for the rice)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced (for the rice)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper (for the rice)
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Marinate the salmon and shrimp for at least 15 minutes.
- In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant. Stir in jasmine rice and cook for another minute.
- Pour in chicken broth, season with salt and pepper, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet, add salmon fillets skin-side down, and cook for 4-5 minutes. Flip and cook for another 3 minutes, adding half of the reserved marinade.
- Remove salmon and in the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter, add shrimp, and cook for 2 minutes on each side. Pour remaining marinade over shrimp and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Serve garlic butter rice on plates, top with salmon and shrimp, drizzle with sauce, and garnish with parsley.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- Ensure shrimp are cooked until pink and opaque.
- Garnish with additional parsley for a fresh touch.
