Description

A delicious and easy recipe featuring shrimp, sausage, and broccoli in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes; set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage slices and cook until browned (about 5 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add shrimp seasoned with salt and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink; remove.
  4. Add broccoli to the skillet with a splash of water. Cover to steam for about 3–4 minutes until tender.
  5. Return sausage and shrimp to the skillet. Pour in the honey garlic sauce and stir to combine; cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Serve hot over rice or quinoa.

Notes

  • This dish pairs well with rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas.
  • Adjust the level of heat by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
