Description
Keto Philly Cheesesteak Rolls are a delicious and satisfying low-carb treat, combining flavorful ground beef with melted cheese, all wrapped in cheesy crusts.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups Monterey Jack cheese (shredded)
- 16 ounces ground beef
- 1/2 medium onion (sliced)
- 1 bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Add the sliced onions and bell peppers once the beef begins to brown and cook until fully browned and vegetables are soft (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess grease.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to the beef mixture, then stir. Add cream cheese and stir until melted and incorporated.
- Create 8 cheese circles on the baking sheet using the shredded Monterey Jack cheese, about 1/4 cup per circle. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges turn golden brown.
- Remove cheese circles from the oven and cool for 1 minute. Place 2 tablespoons of the beef mixture on each circle and roll or fold the cheese around the filling.
- Allow to cool for 2-3 minutes to set the shape.
Notes
- Ensure you drain the excess grease to avoid a soggy texture.
- Work quickly while the cheese is pliable for easier rolling.
- Spacing is important when creating cheese circles to allow spreading during baking.
