Description

A refreshing and spicy twist on the classic margarita made with kiwi and jalapeño.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 oz tequila
  • 1 oz Cointreau
  • 2 kiwis, peeled and chopped
  • 0.5 oz agave syrup
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ jalapeño, chopped
  • Chili powder, for rimming
  • Lime wedge, to wet rim and garnish
  • Kiwi or jalapeño slice, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip into chili powder if desired. Fill glass with ice and set aside.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, muddle chopped kiwi and jalapeño with agave syrup and lime juice.
  3. Add tequila and Cointreau. Fill shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  4. Double strain into your prepared glass over fresh ice.
  5. Add a lime wedge, kiwi slice, or a thin strip of jalapeño for an eye-catching finish.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by varying the amount of jalapeño used.
  • For a sweeter drink, add more agave syrup.
  • Can be served blended with ice for a frozen version.
