A delicious and easy recipe for Lazy Chicken Parmesan Grilled Cheese.

- 4 slices of bread (sourdough or your preferred type)
- 1 cup cooked chicken (shredded or sliced)
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese (or 1 cup shredded mozzarella)
- 1/4 cup marinara sauce
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Spread softened butter on one side of each bread slice. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the buttered side and press gently so it adheres.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Place one slice of bread (buttered side down) in the skillet. Add a slice of mozzarella cheese, a layer of shredded chicken, a spoonful of marinara sauce, and another slice of mozzarella cheese.
- Place a second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing up.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown and crispy. Carefully flip the sandwich and toast the other side for another 3-4 minutes. Reduce heat if the bread browns too quickly.
- Press gently with a spatula to ensure the cheese melts evenly and binds the sandwich.
- Remove from the skillet and let the sandwich cool slightly. Slice in half and serve warm.
Notes
- For a healthier option, use whole grain bread.
- Make sure to adjust the cooking time if using a different type of cheese.
