Description

A creamy and flavorful chowder made with fresh lobster, sweet corn, and crispy bacon, perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups lobster meat, cooked and chopped
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups corn kernels (fresh or frozen)
  • 3 cups chicken or seafood broth
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add the diced onion and cook until translucent.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Stir in the corn and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and thyme, and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Add the lobster meat and season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with crispy bacon.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Use fresh lobster for the best flavor, but canned or frozen can be used in a pinch.
  • This chowder can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
