- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)
- ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for about 4 minutes until golden and crispy. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes, then remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet. Stir in garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Add sun-dried tomatoes and sauté for another minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and broth, stirring well. Add parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Return the seared salmon fillets to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, allowing the salmon to absorb all the delicious flavors. Sprinkle with fresh basil, and serve warm with your favorite sides!
