Description

Monster Truffles are delightful treats perfect for Halloween, combining the sweetness of Golden Oreos with a fun and spooky twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (19.1 oz) family-size Golden Oreos
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 bag (12 oz) colored candy melts (bright orange, purple, bright green)
  • 24 large or small candy eyeballs
  • Halloween colored themed sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Place the Golden Oreos into a food processor and process until well crushed and in fine crumbs.
  2. Add in the cream cheese and pulse until well combined.
  3. Use a medium cookie scoop (1.5 tablespoons) to scoop out the Oreo truffle dough and roll it into tight balls. Place the truffles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Place the truffles inside the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or up to 1 hour, to set.
  5. When ready to decorate the truffles, place the candy melts inside a microwave-safe mixing bowl and heat in 30 second increments, stirring well after each heating, until smooth and melted.
  6. Working one at a time, dip the truffle inside the melted chocolate and let the excess drip off. Place the dipped truffle back onto the baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Immediately press a large eyeball onto the top of each truffle and add some sprinkles on top.
  8. Repeat the process until all the truffles are dipped and decorated.
  9. Allow the truffles to set inside the fridge for 30 minutes or at room temperature for up to 1 hour.
  10. Enjoy your little monsters!

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened to blend easily with the crumbs.
  • You can customize the colors of the candy melts to suit your Halloween theme.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
