Description

These Honey Garlic Salmon Bites are crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside, and coated in the most addictive sticky-sweet garlic sauce you’ve ever tasted. Made with simple ingredients like honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and fresh garlic, they come together in less than 30 minutes for a bold and flavorful meal that feels gourmet—but is secretly so easy.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Salmon:

  • 1 lb fresh salmon, skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch (for crisping)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil

For the Honey Garlic Glaze:

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (or rice vinegar)

  • 1 tsp sriracha or red chili flakes (optional, for heat)

  • 1 tbsp water, if needed to thin the sauce

Optional Garnish:

  • Sesame seeds

  • Chopped green onions

  • Fresh cilantro

Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Salmon

Pat salmon cubes dry with paper towels.
Season lightly with salt and pepper, then toss with cornstarch until coated. This creates a crisp, golden crust when seared.

2️⃣ Sear the Salmon

Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
Add salmon in a single layer, working in batches if necessary.
Sear for 2–3 minutes per side, until browned and crisp. Remove and set aside on a plate.

3️⃣ Make the Glaze

In the same skillet, whisk together:

  • Honey

  • Soy sauce

  • Garlic

  • Lemon juice

  • Sriracha (optional)
Bring to a simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.

4️⃣ Toss & Coat

Return the salmon to the pan and gently toss in the glaze until fully coated and glossy. Cook for another 30 seconds to 1 minute.

5️⃣ Serve & Garnish

Transfer to a plate or bowl.
Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, or cilantro and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Cornstarch is key for a crispy outer layer—don’t skip it!

  • For a lighter version, bake or air fry the salmon and finish in the sauce.

  • Use wild-caught salmon for best flavor and texture.

  • Want extra sauce for rice or noodles? Double the glaze ingredients!
