- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 8 slices bacon
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the meat mixture: In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Form the meatloaf: Shape half of the meat mixture into a loaf shape on a baking sheet. Press mozzarella cheese into the center, then top with the remaining meat mixture to seal it in.
- Wrap with bacon: Lay bacon slices over the meatloaf, tucking the edges underneath to secure them.
- Bake the meatloaf: Brush the top with barbecue sauce and bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Rest & serve: Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
