Onion Bombs are a delicious, savory treat featuring a flavorful meat mixture encased in roasted onions and wrapped in crispy bacon.
Ingredients

- 4 large onions
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 8 slices of bacon
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Peel the outer layers off the onions and cut about an inch off the top. Hollow out the centers carefully.
- In a bowl, mix ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and half of the BBQ sauce until combined.
- Stuff each onion generously with the meat mixture.
- Wrap each onion tightly with bacon strips and secure them if needed.
- Place onions on the baking sheet and bake for 45-50 minutes, brushing them with remaining BBQ sauce halfway through.
Notes
- For an extra kick, consider adding some chopped jalapeños to the meat mixture.
- These can be cooked on a grill for an added smoky flavor.
- Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
