Description
Delightfully easy and flavorful oven-baked dumplings served with a creamy peanut sauce and fresh garnishes.
Ingredients
Scale
- ¼ cup sliced green onions
- ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2–4 tablespoons chili crisp (optional, for spice)
- 2 cups broth or water
- ⅔ cup creamy peanut butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
- 14–20 frozen dumplings (depending on dish size)
- 2 cups broccoli florets, trimmed into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a medium casserole dish or oven-safe braiser.
- Pour the broth into the baking dish, then add peanut butter, minced garlic, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Whisk until mostly blended into a smooth, creamy liquid.
- Place the frozen dumplings into the dish flat-side down and spoon some sauce over each dumpling to lightly coat.
- Nestle the broccoli florets around the dumplings, ensuring they are partly covered in sauce.
- Cover the dish with a lid or foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, remove the cover and stir the sauce gently, allowing it to thicken slightly for about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle with green onions, cilantro, sesame seeds, and chili crisp for added heat if desired.
- Serve straight from the baking dish to enjoy the rich, savory peanut sauce with the dumplings.
Notes
- Chili crisp can be adjusted according to spice preference.
- Ensure that the dumplings are frozen before placing them in the dish for best results.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for additional texture and flavor.
