- 1 cup heavy cream
- 6 oz high-quality dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine whole milk and heavy cream. Heat until steaming but not boiling.
- Whisk in cocoa powder and sugar until smooth.
- Reduce heat to low and add chopped dark chocolate, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Stir continuously until melted and smooth.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Serve immediately in mugs, topped with whipped cream or marshmallows if desired.
