Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then beat in egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, followed by Rice Krispies and chocolate chips.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto baking sheets, spaced 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown. Let cool for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
