Description

Sausage Egg and Cheese Breakfast Sliders with Syrup Glaze are the perfect morning treat, combining savory sausage and fluffy eggs within sweet Hawaiian rolls, all topped with a delicious syrup glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 16 ounces breakfast sausage
  • 6 large eggs
  • 4 ounces Colby Jack cheese, sliced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage, breaking it apart as it browns. Once fully cooked, remove from the skillet and optionally drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  3. Crack the eggs into a bowl, whisk them, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Reduce heat to low and pour the eggs into the same skillet. Cover and cook until just set. Fold the eggs into a rectangular shape and remove from heat.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter and maple syrup to make the glaze.
  6. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating the individual rolls.
  7. Layer the cooked eggs, sausage, and cheese slices onto the bottom half of the rolls. Place the top half back on.
  8. Use a serrated knife to cut between each slider.
  9. Brush the tops of the rolls with the maple glaze.
  10. Bake the sliders on a baking sheet for 18–22 minutes, or until hot and the cheese is fully melted.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute the sausage with turkey sausage for a lighter option.
  • Add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • These sliders can be made ahead of time and reheated for breakfast on busy mornings.
