Description

Shrimp Saganaki is a delightful Greek dish that features succulent shrimp cooked in a flavorful tomato and feta sauce, garnished with fresh herbs.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ cup shallot, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ⅓ cup kalamata olives, halved
  • pounds jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 6 ounces feta cheese, cubed small
  • 1 lemon, zest and juice
  • ¼ cup fresh dill, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in deep skillet. Cook shallot and garlic until fragrant, 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add tomatoes and cook until burst, 5-6 minutes. Add olives and water, cook until thickened, 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add shrimp to tomato mixture, cover and cook until pink, about 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in lemon zest, juice, and dill. Top with feta cheese.

Notes

  • Serve with crusty bread for dipping.
  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
