Description

A festive cocktail that combines the flavors of pomegranate, orange, and spices to create a deliciously unique Christmas-themed margarita.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz Tequila – I recommend Patron silver
  • 2.5 oz Pomegranate juice
  • 2 oz Orange juice
  • 0.5 oz Orange liqueur – e.g. Cointreau
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • ⅛ tsp Ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ tsp Ground ginger
  • 1 pinch Cayenne pepper
  • 1 sprig Rosemary
  • Ginger beer – (optional)

Instructions

  1. Run a slice of tangerine or orange around the rim of a rocks glass, then dip the rim into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Fill the glass with ice.
  2. Add pomegranate juice, tangerine juice, tequila, orange liqueur, honey, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, and a pinch of cayenne pepper to a cocktail shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice, secure the lid, and shake for 15 seconds until the mixture is well-chilled.
  4. Strain the cocktail into the prepared rocks glass over fresh ice.
  5. Add a splash of ginger beer for a bubbly, festive touch. (optional)
  6. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Notes

  • For a sweeter taste, add more honey.
  • Make sure to use freshly squeezed juices for the best flavor.
