- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, melt butter and brown the smoked sausage for about 5-7 minutes.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper; cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Stir in elbow macaroni and chicken broth; bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes until pasta is al dente.
- Mix in whole milk, BBQ sauce, and cheddar cheese; stir until melted and creamy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Serve hot, optionally garnished with chopped green onions.
