A delicious and flavorful Spicy Chorizo Pizza topped with mozzarella cheese and chorizo sausage, perfect for pizza lovers.

- 1 pound pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
- 1 cup tomato sauce, store-bought or homemade
- 1 to 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 10–20 slices of chorizo sausage, use mild or spicy
- Olive oil, for brushing
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano, optional
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder, optional
- Fresh basil leaves or parsley, for garnish, optional
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you’re using a pizza stone, place it in the oven during preheating.
- On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. If you have a pizza peel, transfer the rolled-out dough onto it. Otherwise, place it on a parchment paper-lined or lightly greased baking sheet.
- Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Distribute the chorizo slices over the cheese.
- Lightly brush the crust with olive oil. Sprinkle the dried oregano and garlic powder over the entire pizza for added flavor (optional).
- If using a pizza stone: Slide the pizza onto the stone in the oven. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- If using a baking sheet: Place the sheet in the oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves or parsley if desired. Slice into 8 pieces using a pizza cutter or sharp knife. Serve immediately.

- For a spicier pizza, use spicy chorizo sausage.
- Feel free to add other toppings like bell peppers or onions for extra flavor.
