Description

Spicy Fish Nuggets are a crispy and flavorful snack made with boneless white fish, panko breadcrumbs, and a flavorful spice mix.

  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon crushed black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (for spice mix)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fish: Pat the fish cubes dry with paper towels and cut into 1-inch cubes.
  2. Create the Spice Marinade: Combine vinegar, peri peri seasoning, ginger garlic paste, salt, crushed black pepper, and 2 tablespoons of flour in a bowl to form a paste.
  3. Marinate the Fish: Toss the fish cubes in the spice mixture and let sit for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  4. Set Up Your Breading Station: Prepare three shallow dishes for flour, egg wash (egg and milk), and seasoned panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Bread the Fish Nuggets: Dredge each marinated fish cube in flour, dip in egg wash, and then roll in panko breadcrumbs.
  6. Cook the Nuggets: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C), then fry the nuggets in small batches for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
